It is bounded on the north, east and south sides by residential neighborhoods and on the west by a church. Fred W. Parris Towers, located at 18th and Broadway, was built by the Little Rock Housing Authority in 1970. It is a fourteen story high-rise that has 250 dwelling units, including 141 efficiency units, 99 one-bedroom units and 10 two-bedroom units. The complex is centrally located in the downtown Little Rock area, south of Hwy 630, west of Main St. and east of Chester, and is bounded on the north, east and south sides by residential neighborhoods and on the west by commercial and business buildings. Madison Heights apartments are a mixed finance site that was constructed in three phases. Phase 1 was built in 1999. Phase 2 was completed in 2001, and the construction of Phase 3 was completed in 2005. Senior Homes of Granite Mountain is our newest community. Built in 2012, it consists of 20 duplex’s, making the overall unit count 40. Of the 40 units, 24 are designed as Public Housing units. The construction of this development was sought to be built as “Green”. The location of this site is the Braddock’s addition to the city of Little Rock. The Stephen Apartments development is on 18th Street, between the streets of Martin and Valentine, and sits across 18th Street from Stephens Elementary School.
