Fred W. Parris Towers, located at 18th and Broadway, was built by the Little Rock Housing Authority in 1970. It is a fourteen story high-rise that has 250 dwelling units, including 141 efficiency units, 99 one-bedroom units and 10 two-bedroom units. The complex is centrally located in the downtown Little Rock area, south of Hwy 630, west of Main St. and east of Chester, and is bounded on the north, east and south sides by residential neighborhoods and on the west by commercial and business buildings. It is within a few blocks of the governor’s mansion, and other amenities such as restaurants, service stations and a grocery store. There is a bus stop within walking distance of the building entrance.
